That’s the idea (still in the realm of fiction) presented by this video by Dutch film-maker Roel Wouters. To capture the aerial views, an army of fishing rods were used !

Google’s search by image

Never short of an innovation, Google has just established a new service which allows you to do a search from an image.

It hasn’t been ‘frenchified’ yet but you can try it here  . It’s recommended to use Firefox and Chrome plugins  (links bottom right). This service doesn’t seem to be working very well yet but it’s early stages, it’s sure to improve….

Google’s Street View is now available for virtual tours of the world’s biggest museums with a zoom on the canvases to the scale of a macro photo.

This first video (in English) shows how the images are captured. Here too is a video presentation in French. And of course the address of the site itself.
